Most tallow balms are tallow and little else. Ours adds Ceramide, a skin-identical lipid that supports the moisture barrier, and squalane, which gives the balm a light, fast-absorbing glide. Manuka honey adds hydration, and it's all whipped into a soft texture with no beeswax, no added fragrance and just seven ingredients.

Tallow's fatty-acid profile is similar to the natural lipids in skin, which is why it has been used for generations to soften and protect dry skin. We use grass-fed beef tallow as the rich base of the balm.

No. The balm contains beef tallow and Manuka honey, so it isn't vegan.

It contains jojoba seed oil, which is technically a liquid wax that's well known in skincare. There are no cooking-type seed oils such as canola, sunflower or soybean.

Natural fats firm up in cooler temperatures. Warm it between your fingertips for a few seconds and it softens right back. In hot weather it can soften; a cool spot firms it up again.
